This layout began as a result of reassessing a new portable layout project in 1990-91 and will show the development to its present state as well as some of the problems encountered and their solving. Click on the headings for the development completed so far.

The decision to model the Fairford Branch was the  simplicity of the track plan with a turntable and the rule of running smoke box first.
